Meet the Candidates

Isaac Celedon

ASBSU President Candidate

Hello, I’m Isaac Celedon, a current Junior at Boise State University, double majoring in Economics and Political Science. Originally from Boise, Idaho, my goal since coming to campus has been to enhance the student experience and improve the community.

This year, I’ve led historic efforts to make Boise State more affordable, accessible, and meaningful for all students. We increased the Funding Board budget by $50,000, awarded the most grants (the largest in ASBSU history) to better support clubs and student organizations. I expanded voting eligibility to include all students taking 3+ credits, including online, part-time, and Native American students. I’ve restructured ASBSU to better serve students, advocated for scholarship growth, opposed parking price hikes, and advanced mental health initiatives like the ASBSU Mental Health & Student Support Dinner. If re-elected, I will continue working on reducing club funding timelines, expanding civic engagement, improving access to student resources, and increasing transparency across student government. I’m committed to making sure every student feels seen, heard, and supported, and that ASBSU continues to be a powerful voice for change.

I’m actively involved in various campus clubs and organizations, including Delta Upsilon, The Corral, ASBSU, Student Philanthropy Board, Admissions Office Bronco Ambassador, Alpha Kappa Psi, Pre-law Society, and the Frank Church Institute.
